Over the years, Rich has taught residencies and guest
slots at many of the capital’s sweetest salsa nights,
including Bar Cuba in High Street Kensington, Latin Palace
in Oval, 2 Brewers in Clapham and Wessex House in
Clapham Junction, as well as at weekend events such as
Pontin’s Salsa Cubana in Blackpool, Afro Cuban Pati's
Salsa Fiesta in Norfolk and Go Salsa’s Isle of Wight
weekender.

Rich is an instinctive and experienced dancer, at ease
dancing and teaching Casino and Rueda, as well as
Mambo and Cross Body On1 at all levels. He really values
clarity in his teaching - being able to break elements
down into their constituent parts and so help his
students to put them back together again. Added to
which, his indefatigable energy, humour and desire to
make sure everyone is included make for an entertaining
and satisfying dance lesson. So you can imagine how
pleased we are to have him as a regular member of the
La Clave Cubana teaching team.
Medals in ballroom and Latin dance as
a youngster plus a healthy teenage
passion for bop, jive and sharp funk
moves led to Richard's eventual
abduction by salsa dance and music in
1997.

Teaching and DJing since 2000 in a
wide variety of London Clubs, Rich's
two-year stint with dance troupe
Cudance saw him performing a range
of Cuban popular dances at events
nationally and internationally, including
Cuban Dayat the Royal Festival Hall
and The Festival of Cuban Culture in
Paris.
